The Junior Drone Pilot Program | Free Summer Learning

What is the Junior DronePilot Program?

Every student has a dream, and the purpose of this program is to turn that dream into a reality.” – Austin Brown (Co-Founder)

We have been building the Junior Drone Pilot(JDP)program for three years, and are finally ready for our launch! We are now accepting applications for our first High School aged cohort. The 10 lucky students selected will be able to enjoy our JDP program free of charge. Over the course of two weeks, students will be engaged by our FAA 107 Licensed instructors with fun exercises and lessons to help them build the skills that they need to succeed. They will experience:

  • Resume building
  • Drone building
  • Drone piloting
  • An Entrepreneurship Competition
  • A STEM field trip

All FREE of charge to the student and their families

This is our pilot program, and as a result we have limited space for students. If you know a student who may be interested, please fill out the form at the top of this email. Our team will then review the applications and select 10 students from the group based on their answers.

If you’re not selected this time, don’t worry! This is only the first round of this program, and we will be selecting students from this same applicant pool for later rounds.

Studies have shown that access to materials, and connections to industry are two of the greatest challenges for underrepresented groups to overcome in order to achieve their career goals. This program will solve both of those issues.

Who’s it for & When is it?

This round of the program will be held for High School aged students between 13 &18 years of age who are interested in STEM and getting their dronepilots licenses.

The program will be held on the dates of July 25th – 28th and August 1st – 4th from 11AM- 1PM on each day.

The camp will take place at 1400 Greenmount Avenue, Baltimore MD 21202, at The Openworks Building.
